Tule Springs sits at the far northwest edge of North Las Vegas, directly adjacent to the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument — a 22,650-acre federally protected desert preserve. Unlike most Las Vegas neighborhoods where pest pressure comes from undeveloped private parcels, Tule Springs faces a permanent and protected wildlife corridor that will never be developed. Bark scorpions, roof rats, and black widows have a continuous undisturbed habitat preserve as a source population, and they do not have an off-season.

New construction throughout the Tule Springs community continues to displace scorpion colonies from the monument-adjacent desert toward residential streets and block walls as development expands outward. Subterranean termites are active in the disturbed desert soil surrounding newer foundations. Argentine ants are persistent in HOA-irrigated common areas and drip-system planter beds throughout the community.

Because the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument cannot be treated or developed, professional exterior perimeter treatment is the only effective way to maintain a pest barrier between the monument wildlife corridor and the interior of a Tule Springs home.
